God sat, looking down on the Earth one day and saw 5 Marines on a mission rowing down a river.
The Marines were singing "The Marine's Hymn" as they
rowed, "From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli....
"I wonder", thought God , "What would happen if I took away
half of their brains." Being God he could do this, so POOF, he took half of their brains.
Then he watched them some more. The Marines kept on with their mission, rowing down the river and singing, "From the halls of ????, to the shores of ????", a little confused because they knew the word just a minute ago, but still the mission continued.
"Hmmm", thought God, "I wonder what would happen if I took half of the brain they have left?!" Being God, he could do this, so POOF, he took another quarter of their brains, leaving them with only a fourth of their normal brain. Then he watched them some more.
The Marines still continued on with their mission, rowing down the river and singing, "From the ???????????, to the shores ???????????", but still the mission must be completed.
"I don't know if I should... Oh, what the heck, I have to know", so POOF, God took away the rest of their brains, then watched them some more.
